Jessica Simpson is a Mummy-to-be!

Jessica Simpson dressed up as a mummy for Halloween to announce that she's going to be a Mommy! After tons of speculation, the expecting mama-to-be finally made the announcement via her website with photos of her holding her already famous baby bump. "It's true, I'm going to be a mummy!" she wrote. This will be the first child for the singer/designer and her fiance, Eric Johnson. Congrats to the happy couple!

Kendra and Baby Hank shop Old Navy for Halloween

Kendra Wilkinson and her beautiful baby boy Hank IV recently went on a Halloween shopping spree at Old Navy. The adorable duo searched through affordable two piece costumes, all under $20 and colorful felt totes to prepare little Hank for Halloween. After much consideration, Kendra and Hank decided on a cuddly Shark Costume and Pumpkin Bag, perfect for Trick or Treating.

We think they made a great choice shopping for Halloween at Old Navy, because we did too! Their costumes are super cute, totally affordable and best of all their performance fleece makes them very warm – perfect for the cold weather here in Montreal! So, if you haven’t already picked up your kid’s costume, be sure to check them out! They’re even on mega discount now since Halloween is fast approaching.

And if you look closely you can even catch a sneak peak of our sons’ costumes in the above photo! :)

Mariska Hargitay Adopts Two Infants Within Six Months

According to People magazine, Mariska Hargitay has adopted another baby, just six months after adopting her second child Amaya Josephine. She knew she wanted to adopt another child one day, but didn't expect it would be so soon.

“We never in a million years thought it would happen this quickly, but something inside of us knew that this was right, and we said, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’” says Hargitay. “We knew this was our guy. Everything about it felt right. It felt divinely right.”

Within only a week of processing their paperwork Mariska and her husband Peter Hermann brought home a son, Andrew Nicolas Hargitay Hermann. Mariska is now mother to two adopted children as well as her biological son August who is five.

Having two infants at the same time seems like a heck of a lot of work, but there is now doubt that the tough cookie who plays Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU, will be able to handle it.

The mama of three has said Andrew and Amaya have already formed a strong bond. “They’ll lie in the crib together, and she’ll hold his hand and put her arm around him, she’s already so protective of him.” Aww!! We wish her, and her growing family all the best.

More Affordable Classes At Belles Mamans

Belles Mamans is a lovely place run by an even lovelier woman Jennifer. Belles Mamans gives parents and kids a fun, safe and clean environment to gather, socialize, play and learn. I did my prenatal classes there and loved it. I've done some playgroups as well, but always wished to join a music or art class with my son. Unfortunately my maternity leave budget didn't give me much room for outside activities, but all that is about to change.

Seems like I'm not the only new mama on a budget, because Belles Mamans has recently revamped their price list and have made their classes more affordable. Most class sessions now range in price from $50 to $72! Such fantastic news!! They even added Saturday Music and Art classes for mommies (and daddies) who have gone back to work.

Not only do they have bright, cheerful classrooms where they offer a whole variety of classes, they also have a café where parents can chat and enjoy a sandwich or salad, while watching their little ones play. It's a really great environment and if you need another reason to join in on the fun, it's also a great place to meet new mommy friends!

Be sure to check out their website for more info on the classes available and/or call to register 514.783.3200.

Taylor Swift Donates Tons of Books!

Just when we thought we couldn't love Taylor Swift anymore! The adorable singer has donated 6,000 books to libraries in the city of Reading, Pennsylvania. Ms. Swift decided she wanted to help economically troubled libraries in her home state and partnered with publisher Scholastic Inc. to donate the books to children and young adults. Local librarians were able to chose which books they wanted and have said Taylor's books will be marked with a white star on the spine and a sticker inside. How inspirational! It's always nice when a celebrity uses their stardom for good. Well done Swifty!

Sweetest Birth Announcement Ever

I never did take the time to do a birth announcement. I'm not sure why I didn't get around to doing it, I just really did think it was a big deal. Facebook and social media is such a big part of our lives these days, I was able to share pictures of my son the same day he was born. However, this video (below) has to be the sweetest, most thoughtful birth announcement I have ever seen. "Don Rob" and his wife merged a series of still images together to make a video of her entire pregnancy. The video shows her transformation from her flat tummy, expanding mid-section, all the way to holding her sweet bundle of joy. What an amazing keepsake.

More Mom Advice from Kelly Sawyer

Back in July, Nicole Richie opened up her blog to her fans for a Q & A session with her good friend Kelly Sawyer, a fellow fashion mom whom she looks to for advice on motherhood.

Then, Kelly answered our question on how to balance work and family life all while remaining fabulous and fashionable, and now Kelly is back answering more fan questions.  This time, on a similar note, I asked Kelly how she handled heading back to work after maternity leave. I will be going back to work in just a few short weeks after a wonderful year off with my little man, and it’s just hard to believe that I will be back on the grind full time and away from my son for most of the week.

Dear Kelly,
After giving birth to your children, how long were you off on maternity leave, and how did you feel/cope with having to go back to work. I have 2 months left before my son heads to daycare full time and I’m back to work. I’m kind of dreading it.

Joanna

Dear Joanna,
I am lucky that I have a pretty flexible schedule & create my own hours but everyone dreads leaving their child and I completely understand how you are feeling. I can say that as much as it is difficult to balance working and being a Mom I really enjoy what I do and makes sure to make the time I do have with my kids very special. You’ll get back into the swing of things on the work front– it may just take a little time to adjust. Just remember, you’re doing the best you can!

Kelly

This is great advice. I completely agree that is definitely helps to love what you do when all that time is being spent away from your family. And Kelly is right! All of us moms working or not, must always remember that we are doing the best we can.

Check out Nicole’s blog here to read more great advice from this fab fashion mom of 2, and don’t forget to leave a comment with your own questions for Kelly!

Kristin Davis Adopts Baby Girl

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis recently confirmed to PEOPLE that she has adopted a beautiful baby girl. The new mama welcomed daughter Gemma Rose Davis a few months ago and could not be more thrilled.

“This is something I have wanted for a very long time,” the 46-year-old told the magazine “Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.”

Her life seems to be mirroring that of her SATC character, Charlotte York Goldenblatt who adopted her first child as well. The character, and husband Harry Goldenblatt, adopted fictional baby Lily from China, though in real life Kristin has adopted domestically and will be going at it alone as a single mother.

Davis has spoken publicly about her want to have children, despite not having a partner.  “It does give me pause to think about doing it alone. I feel like it's a really hard job,” she told Access Hollywood in 2010, but clearly that fear didn’t stop her from fulfilling her dream to become a mother.

Wonderful news! Congrats to the new mom!

Sandra and Louis Pirate-Themed Party Pals

Too cute! Earlier today, Sandra Bullock took her adorable son Louis out to a pirate-themed birthday party in Brentwood, California. The mommy-son duo got in the spirit and dressed up for the occasion. Little Louis Bardo wore brown and beige trousers, a white shirt and a matching skull and crossbones bandana on his head, while mom Sandy wore boots and brought along a big feathered pirate hat.

Looks like they are headed for some fun! Makes me even more excited about planning my son’s first birthday coming up at the end of the month! (Ah! I still can’t believe he’s turning 1!)

Rapunzel’s Royal Celebration

Over the weekend, a Royal Celebration was held at Kensington Palace in London to celebrate Rapunzel’s inauguration as the 10th Disney Princess. She joins Princesses Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana.

Walt Disney Company President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger noted, “Rapunzel’s royal celebration at Kensington Palace was truly a meaningful and important event in the history of Disney Princess. Since the release of Tangled, Princess Rapunzel’s inquisitive and energetic personality has filled the hearts and homes of little girls around the world.”

Celeb guests at the royal event included Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden with their own princess and prince, Harlow and Sparrow.  The fashionable family walked the red carpet and lined up with 10,000 Disney fans to check out the Disney Princess parade of nine horse drawn carriages.

“Um, I don't know who enjoyed the princesses more: my daughter, or my husband. #RapunzelCelebration” Nicole tweeted.

Sounds like a fairytale! We're sure they had tons of family fun.
